The passenger side wing mirror has been a longtime thorn in the …..wait for it…..side. the base block was worn out and my spare was not much better. Then I needed a grub screw and a new block. In between, locations have changed and the car sat idle in storage. Finally, I got everything ready only to discover that i had no gasket for my mirror. I know i have one,, and probably an old one as well.. I scoured the parts bins to no avail. Foiled again.. However, I had a set of mirrors from my former Mercedes 280SE that fit the same block and even look correct. I borrowed the passenger side while I source a new gasket.
